How To Delete Facebook Messages Forever

Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon is located in the top left edge as well as appears like two little overlapping speech bubbles.

Step 2. Click the discussion including the message or messages you want to delete. If it is not provided on the first Messages pop-up window, click "See All" to view every one of your private messages. Click the discussion on that particular listing containing the message you want to delete.

Removing a private message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your discussion partner.
